Dress Standards

The dress standard for males in the Members Area at Tabcorp Park is a lounge suit or tailored jacket, collared shirt, slacks and dress shoes. Ties are optional unless otherwise specified for major events and functions.

Females are expected to dress to a similar standard.

Denim is not acceptable at any time.

Please note that jackets may be removed during the summer months.

For your guidance, please find below a list of unacceptable items of clothing in the Members Area.

Not Acceptable – Men
  • Any form of sports shoe such as joggers, track shoes or runners. Sandals, thongs, dilapidated footwear, scuffs or slippers.
  • Any shoes without socks.
  • Jeans or non-tailored slacks
  • T-Shirts or shirts without collars
  • Parkas, duffle coats, wind-breakers, tracksuit tops, sporting weatherproofs, waist-length jackets including bomber jackets, denim jackets, zippered jackets, anoraks, driz-a-bones.
  • Caps, beanies or bandannas.
  • Pullovers or cardigans (without a jacket), rugby tops and football Guernseys, even if wearing a tie.
Not Acceptable – Women
  • Any forms of sports shoe, joggers, track shoes, runners, slippers, thongs, scuffs, dilapidated footwear.
  • Tank Tops/singlets
  • Jeans, jodhpurs, or non-tailored slacks.
  • Slacks tucked into socks and footwear.
  • Leggings or shorts.
    Note: Footless tights are acceptable if suitable dress is worn over the top.
  • Parkas, duffle coats, denim jackets, wind-breakers, sporting weatherproofs, anoraks, bomber jackets.
  • Tops or dresses showing bare midriff.
  • Caps, or beanies.

 

Code of Conduct

Members are required to behave in a manner becoming of the club at all times.

Members must not act in a manner prejudicial to the interests of the club.

Any member who fails to behave appropriately in the eyes of the club may be expelled or suspended from the club, or may have his or her rights and privileges restricted.

Guests of members must also adhere to this code, and members are entirely responsible for the behaviour of their guests.

Bad language, racist remarks or slanderous comments will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Smoking

In the interest of patron comfort and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, smoking is strictly prohibited in the following areas at Tabcorp Park:

  • All enclosed areas including the horse stables
  • First floor Grandstand

Signage has been erected to reflect this and all members and other venue guests are expected to comply with these regulations.

Smoking is permitted at the base of the stairs at the west end of the grandstand and on the lawn area in between the grandstand and the racetrack.

Tickets

Annual Membership passes will be issued on approval of your application or renewal . This ticket must be displayed at all times to gain entry to member’s access areas at Tabcorp Park and course entry for feature race meetings. Tickets are strictly non transferrable. Should you lose your ticket please contact the club immediately to have a new card re-issued. Member’s passes do not grant access to the horse stalls enclosure where appropriate licence or stable access passes are required.

Guest Sign In

Members are entitled to sign in guests (who will be issued a one night guest pass) subject to availability.

Passes are available at Tabcorp Park Reception. 

Members are able to use their complimentary guest passes at any time during the year, apart from Ticketed Events. 

A fee of $5 applies per guest pass at Ticketed Events and when complimentary guest passes are not used. 

All guests are expected to behave in accordance with the club’s code of conduct and comply with the relevant dress standards.  

Guests will not be eligible for member benefits other than gaining access to the Member’s Area.

Dining Bookings

Ideally located on the first floor, the Main Dining Room at Tabcorp Park provides Members and their guests with a unique experience and the perfect place to enjoy the night’s racing.

Bookings

All dining bookings must be made through Tabcorp Park reception on
(03) 8746 0600 and will be subject to availability at all times.

Bookings must be made in a timely manner in order that correct ticketing can be sent out to members and their guests.

Whilst all endeavours will be taken, the venue cannot guarantee specific seating requests by members or their guests regarding placement within the room.
